⚡️ What are Fast Cancel Trips? ⚡️
Ever wondered how canceled trips get updated so quickly in the Moovit app? That’s where Fast Cancel Trips—also known as Short-Term Changes (STCs)—come in!
Fast Cancel Trips allow us to instantly show canceled services in the app without waiting for the regular data update process. 🚀
✅ This Feature Is Now Live!
Fast Cancel Trips are now available in nearly all cities and projects. If you're an Ambassador, you can already use this feature where it's supported.
🔍 What Users See in the App:
When a Fast Cancel Trip is applied, Moovit users will see:
- A clear cross-line ❌ over the schedule of the canceled trip, indicating it’s no longer running.
- A message below the trip or stop, letting users know it was canceled. 📝
📍 Where to Find Fast Cancel Trips:
You can find the Fast Cancel Trips option within the regular STCs screen—it’s the last item on the list.
🛠️ When to Use Fast Cancel Trips vs. Regular STCs:
We highly recommend using Fast Cancel Trips whenever possible! 🙌
They make it very clear to users that a trip was intentionally canceled—not just missing or delayed.
When to use each option

Fast Bypass
Use Fast bypass when you need to cancel only specific stops within a trip, while the rest of the trip remains active

Fast Cancel trips
Use Fast cancel trips when the entire trip is canceled and should not appear in the app for users at all
⚠️ Note: Fast Cancel Trips won’t appear in the Editor or the data you're currently editing. They work on a separate layer, so you might not know if you're editing a trip that’s already been canceled using this feature.
