What is a Calendar?
In Moovit, a calendar defines the specific days and times when a particular service or schedule is in effect. It allows you to create flexible schedules for lines that don't operate every day or have varying schedules on different days of the week.
Default Calendars:
Moovit provides several default calendars for common service patterns:
- Daily: The service operates every day of the week.
- Week: The service operates from Monday to Friday (weekdays).
- Saturday: The service operates only on Saturdays.
- Sunday: The service operates only on Sundays.
Creating a New Calendar:
If the default calendars don't suit your needs, you can create a custom calendar:
- Click "+Add": Locate the "+Add" button in the top right corner of the calendar section.
- Define the Calendar:
- Description: Enter a descriptive name for your new calendar (e.g., "Holidays," "Summer Schedule").
- Start Date: Specify the start date when this calendar will be in effect.
- End Date: Specify the end date for this calendar (if applicable).
- Days of the Week: Select the specific days of the week when this calendar applies.
- Save: Click "Save" to create the new calendar.
Your custom calendar is now available for use when defining service schedules for lines.
